Ridgetop has fielded a competitive swim team since the 1960’s. After being long-time members of the Greater Richmond Aquatic League, the Riptides joined the James River Aquatic Club in 2005 and competes against other local summer league pools. The team, 200 swimmers strong, enjoys a 10-week season with practice beginning in Mid-May, dual meets on Monday evenings in June and July, and a final championship meet in late July. The coaching staff provides instruction for all ages and levels.  The benefits of joining the swim team include participating with a team, building camaraderie with different ages, improving skills, getting consistent physical activity, setting, and striving for goals, and having a lot of fun!
